Do you use your time the way you want to?
You may sit down to do some work and suddenly find yourself scrolling social media, cleaning your room, or doing anything other than working.
Or you might find yourself working just fine—working through your gym time, checking work email on vacation, or being distracted by your responsibilities when you’re trying to play with your kids.
If either of these are true of you, your productivity is being controlled by your fears instead of by your intentions for your life.
Some people think that’s inevitable. They might tell you to fight your fear, which is exhausting. Or they might try to get you to fear procrastinating even more than you fear working. I just don’t think that’s any way to live.
An improvement is to use life hacks to sneak around your fears. I even offer one. But they only work when you’re using them. They don’t get to the root of the problem and resolve it.
Fortunately, neuroscientists have discovered that it’s possible to actually dissolve those fears, and my coaching is based on methods for doing just that.
Together, we can find the emotional blocker that’s rerouting you away from your goals and into procrastination or preoccupation. Then I help you sit with the emotion in a safe and comfortable way until the emotional blocker dissolves, revealing the path forward. Getting to know and care for yourself in this way can be a profound experience that improves your overall relationship with yourself even beyond how you use your time.
Stop using your energy to fight yourself, and start using it to work with passion and creativity.
The Painless Productivity Package
This package consists of 12 one-on-one coaching sessions. Sessions are 50 minutes long and held over video call. With this individualized format, I can adapt to your exact situation. There is no set curriculum; it’s all about what will take you further down the path towards the life you want.
You have control over when you schedule your sessions, but I recommend weekly whenever possible, as that helps you build momentum and reach your goal quickly. Thus, the package takes about 3 months to complete.
Flexible goal orientation
Our work is oriented around a productivity-related goal you set, but it’s flexible in two ways:
- As you discover more about what you really need, your goal can change. For instance, if your initial goal was “accomplish more,” but coaching helps you realize that you accomplish plenty and just never feel satisfied, your goal might shift to “unlock the ability to feel satisfied with my accomplishments.” This means you don’t have to rely on me knowing what’s best for you, and you don’t even have to be sure that you know what’s best for you. It will become clear as we go.
- It’s impossible to know the pace of parts work in advance. Each person’s path has different emotional blockers in the way, and each blocker takes different amounts of time to dissolve. So our goal functions as a direction, a north star, to keep us on track. We don’t know if you’ll reach it in 12 sessions, but whatever happens in those 12 sessions will be sure to advance you on your path towards it. If you need fewer or more sessions, we can adjust!
The standard price is $125/session, which comes out to $500/month for three months or a total of $1500. However, low-income clients can pay less and those who’d like to support others’ access to coaching are welcome to pay more, for a range of $100-150/session.
If for any reason the package isn’t working out for you, you can quit at any time. Unused sessions are fully refundable.
Here’s some of the feedback I’ve received:
“This work helped me think about myself differently. Aspects of my work that were leading towards burnout feel less overwhelming and more manageable. Areas of my personal life where I knew “something” was missing now feel like areas where I know what I want to change. Most of my best progress came from exploring unpleasant parts, but I felt supported throughout.”Taylor
“In retrospect this guided Parts work, even though it was often truly exhausting, reached deeper into my issues than anything else I’ve ever tried. I’m ending the series not only with pervasive experiences, but very granular, hands-on ways of coping with and bouncing back from my work (and interrelational) triggers.”Chris F.
“I am truly amazed at how quickly this method can be used in day to day tasks and situations. It becomes a natural way to relate to the self. Presley seemed to understand some of my analogies and symbolisms even when I thought they were silly or not important.”Kristi
