Do you use your time the way you want to?
You may sit down to do some work and suddenly find yourself scrolling social media, cleaning your room, or doing anything other than working.
Or you might find yourself working just fine—working through your gym time, checking work email on vacation, or being distracted by your responsibilities when you’re trying to play with your kids.
If either of these are true of you, your productivity is being controlled by your fears instead of by your intentions for your life.
Some people think that’s inevitable.
They might tell you to fight your fear, which is exhausting. Or they might try to get you to fear procrastinating even more than you fear working. But is that any way to live?
An improvement is to use life hacks to sneak around your fears. I even offer one. But they only work when you’re using them. They don’t get to the root of the problem and resolve it.
Fortunately, real change is possible.
Neuroscientists have discovered that it’s possible to actually dissolve those fears, and my coaching is based on methods for bringing that about.
Together, we can find the emotional blocker that’s rerouting you away from your goals and into procrastination or preoccupation. Then we can find your natural capacity to resolve that emotional blocker.
Stop using your energy to fight yourself
Since we find both the problem and solution inside of you and bring them together into an integrated new state, you don’t have to be at war with yourself anymore. You don’t have to keep saying things like “logically I know I should just do it a little bit at a time, but I still feel like I have to do it perfectly or not at all.”
Use that freed up energy to work with passion and creativity, and that inner peace to rest easy when it’s quitting time.
The Painless Productivity Package consists of:
- twelve 50-minute sessions
- one-on-one coaching
- held over video call
- you control the schedule, using the sessions over 3-6 months
First, we set an intention
In session 1 we pick an intention for your productivity that we will work towards in every session.
This is more of a “north star” than a SMART goal.
- It doesn’t have a deadline, so it doesn’t set you up for the possibility of failure.
- It’s flexible, so if you realize along the way that what’s best for you is actually something different, we can update the intention.
It just serves to keep our work focused and moving in the right direction.
Next, we shed light on the problem
When a productivity issue is due to an emotional blocker, it means you have some kind of inner conflict, where part of you wants to do the work and part of you doesn’t.
So we get to know the parts of you on either side of that conflict. In this stage, we uncover new insights about why you act and feel the way you do.
This usually leads to an understanding that even your most “irrational” or “counterproductive” behavior is a subconscious strategy to meet a need. This understanding tends to replace your shame around your behavior with self-compassion, chipping away at the pain that surrounds your productivity.
Then, the problem meets your inner strength
Insight is a huge relief! But it usually isn’t enough to resolve the issue, so we don’t stop there.
We keep digging, and beneath the parts of you that are in conflict, we find your natural strengths that can resolve your problem.
- A perfectionist might discover the ability to accept themselves exactly as they are.
- Someone avoiding a boring task might uncover the ability to find wonder and awe in the simplest things.
- Someone procrastinating out of a fear of failure might realize that they trust themselves to navigate uncertain situations.
Finally, we reflect back and plan ahead
A common problem in coaching is that people get great ideas, but don’t implement them in between sessions or maintain the benefits of coaching after the engagement is over. I don’t want that to happen to you.
So I reserve the final session of the package for reflection and planning. I give you a curated list of notes and observations from our whole time together, and we co-create an understanding of how you grew, what you achieved, what habits will help you maintain your progress, and what intention you want to set for yourself next.
Who it’s for
Painless Productivity works well for people who:
- can get some things done just fine, but
- can’t get certain important tasks done in a reasonable amount of time, and
- really do want to accomplish those tasks
I don’t recommend it for people who:
- are having trouble doing all kinds of things, even their favorite things. This might mean you need a doctor or a therapist rather than a coach.
- just plain hate their jobs. Thich Nhat Hanh says it’s possible to find joy in every moment, and I like to believe that, but if you really hate what you do, your money might be better spent finding a new thing to do than trying to tolerate this one.
- are not procrastinating, but still run out of time to get everything done. If this is happening because you’re doing things in an inefficient way (this often happens to new business owners who start to become successful, for instance), then you might benefit from a systems coach or consultant. If it’s happening because you’re being asked to do a superhuman amount, then you need advocacy and support to change that. I can’t make you into a superhuman machine, and I wouldn’t want to.
What about ADHD?
Neurotypes like ADHD don’t change, but people with ADHD commonly have emotional blockers on top of the ADHD, and Painless Productivity has been able to help ADHDers with those. However, if your ADHD is untreated and unmanaged, a specialist who can help you by prescribing medicine and/or teaching you ADHD-friendly systems may be a better first stop.

Value
The standard price is $125/session, which comes out to $500/month for three months or a total of $1500. However, those with financial need can pay less and those who’d like to support others’ access to coaching are welcome to pay more, for a range of $100-150/session.
If for any reason the package isn’t working out for you, you can quit at any time. Unused sessions are fully refundable.
Here’s some of the feedback I’ve received (emphasis mine):
Working with Presley as a parts work coach has been extremely worthwhile and has enabled change in ways I did not realize were possible before I embarked on this work.
Presley is extremely well versed in Internal Family Systems, and asks thoughtful questions to help her clients engage with their parts from a place of compassion and open-mindedness. As a result, she has been able to help me work through challenges and implement effective and sustainable solutions.
Working with Presley over time, I’ve been able to experience more of the “self” being in the driver’s seat. Rather than specific parts automatically taking over the system, I’m able to pause and engage the self with that part in a consultative way. The outcome of this engagement both reduces stress and overwhelm, and increases productivity.
I can’t recommend enough working with Presley as a parts work coach, and I would be happy to chat with anyone who would like to know more about my experience!

This work helped me think about myself differently. Aspects of my work that were leading towards burnout feel less overwhelming and more manageable. Areas of my personal life where I knew “something” was missing now feel like areas where I know what I want to change.
Taylor
I’m definitely feeling more empowered to catch up on large and small tasks. I think I’m also recognizing more easily that there are times I can’t be at my most perfectly productive and I feel more accepting of myself in those moments and less critical and judgmental.
In retrospect this guided Parts work, even though it was often truly exhausting, reached deeper into my issues than anything else I’ve ever tried. I’m ending the series not only with pervasive experiences, but very granular, hands-on ways of coping with and bouncing back from my work (and interrelational) triggers.
